Let's see, I have grandma's 1950 Morse Fotomatic, 3 vintage Singers, 1 Elna Supramatic, a cheap Brother that embroiders, an older Pfaff serger, a newer Singer that moved to my sister's house. I mostly use the Singer 201 and 221 for piecing, the Morse or 401a when I need zigzag, the Brother for machine embroidery, and the Elna sometimes just for fun. I just made a baby shirt on the brother, and it drove me crazy. The stitching just wasn't up to the quality of the 201.

I have 5 sewing machines. 2 Pfaff's, and 3 Singer's of various ages. I have used them all. I take my featherweight to classes unless it requires more precise sewing. I love my featherweight. One singer is old and in a rounded topped case. Not sure of its age, and one is a slant Singer. Not sure of its age but probably 50's or early 60's. I should get some numbers so I can find out their age. Jan

I have a total of eight sewing machines. They include two monogramers, five sewing machines (orphanes I couldn't resist) and a surger. Do I use them all...of course.

I use two of them. My Viking is my go-to machine for garment construction or home dec sewing and my favorite for buttonholes. My Pfaff is used for quilting. I just acquired a new featherweight 221 but I haven't even cleaned it up yet. Over and above that, I have two other machines that I have kept because no one really wanted them but I never use them--an Elna and an old Nelco.

Well, sometimes the reason we have so many machines is because, they did't cost a lot of money. I have 9 machines. my first, MIn Law gave me,a White. I purchased a Singer in a real nice cabinet, at an Auction for $1.00. And it works great. I bought another Singer at an Auction in a Cabinet that I really love , for $35.00. That cabinet in magazines sells for $1,200.00. I have a Burnena my girl friend sold me for the price they where going to give her to trade it in for a Hi$$$$ machine. And I have a Huskivanna that I had on Layaway, and When I went to pick it up from store, They did not have my machine, They had sold it, So I got a much nicer Machine because of there mixup. And I have 2 other older machine Singers from Auctions, And One of My moms, and one from a friend of my Daughters. Plus I Have a surger I purchased on Sale, And 2 Elnas I use all the time. And I want a featherweight. Oh, wait, was that more than 9???? Well, I may be having more, if I keep going to Auctions. No one seems to want those old treaure Machines. I love to clean them up and they sew heavey duty, too. So check out all those old machines. They need new homes. Machines, Who's counting???

I have 9. I'm starting to say no. If I
had a place to display them I would probably
keep bring them home. Left 2 at yard sales last
    week.

I truely understand the desire to take the orphans home...I cannot turn my back on them.

you make me laugh, when i am asked how many machines I have
I say 4. but I see others included their sergers, so I should be saying 7. and we are not counting the serger I gave to SIL. LOL
