I love Mena ! Love the Ozarks, a beautiful part of the country. DH and I have enjoyed fishing and the outdoors on a lot of trips there

I don't consider Walmart or Joanns to be quilt stores. If we are talking about small, independently owned quilt stores, I have 4 within 20 miles.

I am truly blessed with 4 quilt shops within 3 miles and 2 more within 10 thus does not include Joanns or Hancock.
We have 3 walmarts within 15 miles of my home but none carry fabric just notions. Which is great they are sometimes cheaper when it comes to rulers, pins etc. than JoAnn would be with coupons.

There were 4 within about an hour drive. One about 15 miles away closed December. Another about an hour away closed in January. Another about 35 miles away is closing next month. My final one is about 25 miles away and hopefully will stay open. Everything else is an hour or more away.

The two in my town are reasonably priced, so I use them a fair bit. Next nearest - 100km is too dear and the cheapest is 250km so I don't visit often.

Hi Gina, I am new here. I live onthe eastern end of Long Island in NY. I have Joanns 22 miles from here. Used to like Walmarts panels but our Walmarts have discontinued the fabric department! Lack of customers who sew. I used to make so many nice things for the grandkids when they were small from Walmart's stuff. But I have gone to the state of Maine several times to cross over into Canada to buy PJ flannels from an outlet that was there many years ago. It was a little town called Claire in New Brunswick Quebec Providence. It was over a 1,000 miles! My hubby has relatives in Northern Maine so I always saved for fabric when he went back home! I have been buying on EBAY now that I don't drive much anymore. Have a great night now, Kay

Phoenix, AZ rules!!! We have over 13 LQS's here in the Valley. None is more than 40 minutes from my home. The LQS with the larges selection of fabric in the entire state is about 7 minutes from my home. And, yes, we also have WM, Joann's, and Hobby Lobbies also. No Hancock's as they pulled out of this area darn it.

This is a great place to visit and go to QuiltCamp.
