I'm a righty . brother is lefty , youngest grandson is a lefty . As for this making a kid a "righty or lefty " I don't agree with that . I let my 2 kids make up their mind which they used .

When I noticed my gs coloring with his left hand I was kindof surprised . Whe dil came to pick him up I said Jamison a lefty . Silly girl thought I meant for her to train him a righty.I had to explain it was just an observation ! Dumb blonde ! I can do some things with my left but not as good as my right . My daughter likes to play cards , she never paid attention to how she dealt the cards . A friend playing asked her why she was dealing with her left hand . She didn't realize it . To each their own  Annie

Right handed here. My left hand is practically useless!

Continental eating is very common and acceptable. Now you'll see it in movies you watch. You can tell who is a spy, I mean foreign! LOL! It really is a more productive way to eat, but not very common in the US.

I am right handed, as are both kids and DH. But he shoots pool left handed mostly. He can with either hand really.

Left hand is good for holding things while the right hand works.

out of 8 children I am the only lefty, but I knit right handed go figure. I was told my oldest sister would probably been a lefty, but when she would use her left hand they would slap it. I guess they used the think it was a bad thing to be a lefty

I'm a lefty, but can do some things with my right hand. They tried to change me in school too. It didn't work.
