You can never have too many books, no matter what the subject.

Yes, I love quilting books and mags too! I have a large library and recieve magazines from 6 sources, and still check out books at my quild library! I love to look through old mags, books and other things for inspiration, I take a quilting book to look at waiting for appointments. I enjoy them!

I feel strongly about this... I started out as a self taught decorative artists..Learning mostly from all of my books and one great message board, such as this one... I booked my first job before actually ever taking my first class..Of course, I then started in with the schools..
And now I'm learning quilting...I will never throw my books away( except the ones I'll never use-don't care for)....I have a really nice reference library...You never know when someone will ask/pay you to do that bargello quilt you've never actually done...But, between your stashed books and this board, you'll be ready lol

You have 2 many when you forget what you have and buy a second copy of the same book.Or when the shelf collapses onto the next lower shelf from the weight. Other than that there is no such thing as too many books of any kind. Diane C.

I cut out the patterns/instructions that I really love in the magazines and keep them in a 3 ring binder catagorized by the type of quilt it is. That cuts down on the space needed to store them. Obviously I dont cut up the books.

If I get bored and start looking through all the books I have it almost always results in a new quilt.
