How many quilts does one need???

No such thing as to many. I make and give away. Have 3 right now in process for gifts. I have four on my bed right now. I keep quilts my on both beds, the recliners and in a quilt rack my DH made me for Christmas a couple of years ago.

Do you all have 5 quilts on each bed at a time LOL??? How many is too many?? I just want to keep making them...

Since I finished my first bed size quilt in 1968 I have actually worn out a couple. I have a trunk full as well as several cloth bags and a few boxes. I always have one on my bed. There is one thrown over each of the wing chairs in my living room to hide the upholestry that my cat shredded and one over the sofa also. I have given away at least one to everyone in my family. I made my daughter a king size one as a wedding present and gave my step-daughter a king size one for her 20th wedding anniversary. Each of my grandchildren has gotten at least one. I am always making wall hangings or table runners as wedding or anniversary gifts for friends and family. I also make an average of 20 Linus quilts a month. At present I am putting together a huge T shirt quilt for a client. You can never have enough quilts.

Didn't know you could have too many.
Of course, if you give all of them away, you need to have some for yourself. Different weights for different weather you know. Then there is one for DH and one for DD and one for DS, one in the car for picnics, etc, etc.

Bearspaws, I, too, am new to the chat. I read of your desire to quilt, quilt, quilt, and just want to let you know that if you have ANY quilts, tops, squares, or ? that you would like to donate, I am a member of the Prayers & Squares International, Chapter 313, in Birmingham, Alabama. (If you would like to review the website, it is http://www.prayerquilt.org. A great caring ministry usually in a church environment. Our chapter is quite small and we have difficulty keeping up with the requests for comfort quilts.) We will be delighted to add whatever you, or anyone else would like to donate. We generally try to keep to lap quilt size, but have had unfinished quilt top donations as large as oversized king, which we then were able to make into four quilts and several prayer squares.
Thank you for considering donating to this ministry any tops, quilts, squares, wall hangings or table runners.
