As I am writing this I realize I have more than I was originally going to post. 5 My "real" machine is a Janome MC9500 which is about one year old. It replaced my Necchi that is out of wack but can't part with, a Brother PE150 I have worked to retirement and use occasionally but the total embroidery area is small. Recently I have become a collector of 2 Singer Red Eye treadles. But I am still working on these and learning all about them.

I admit to having a collection of about 20 machines and all but one is a vintage machine. The current go-to machine is my 301 but also have the following Singers: 2 201s that need some work, at least 3 66s, a 99, a Featherweight, 2 (possibly more) Singer 15s and a Singer 457. I have 2 White Japanese clones plus at least 2 more Japanese 15 clones. I have a Two Spools machine, a Wilson and Wheeler #9, an old White treadle, and 3 Necchis. I am not sure if these are all of the machines I have but it's a good start to listing my collection. I use many of them and have loaned out machines to others who need a loaner and have gifted several machines to others who cannot afford them. My younger daughter also has a vintage Singer that I have given to her. This is why I have over 20 machines and I honestly think the count is closer to 30 - DH (darling huisband) supports this addiction and has been known to find machines for me! Chris

I have several machines...and they all know that they are loved...except the serger...she and I have a love/hate relationship.
Have a treadle machine...and a class 15 old Black Singer, she is also in a treadle cabinet even though she has an electric cord. My Featherweight was gotten at a garage sale many years ago...the quilter had died and hubby was selling her stash and machines.
I have a Bernina 1030 and a 1130...they have both been retired, but the one likes to travel, so she goes with me to some craft shows and works while there. They will be handed down to my sons someday.
A Viking 555...she is a dream...but doesn't care to work on some things, so she is only used on the things that she likes.
Then I have my workhorse...the Juki TL-98Q...She sews anything and never argues...
I have 2 Singer XL1000's for embroidery...the one is retired...too many miles on her....but if the other one is down, I still am able to work.
I know that people think that I can't sew on more than 1 at a time...but they are mine, I paid for them, and I wouldn't dream of trading one of them in...or selling one. It would be like trying to pick which child to get rid of...

Had 2 but gave my Kenmore to my DIL. Wish I had more but space is an issue. I do have 2 sergers! Would love more so I could leave my embroidery set up and just sew on another one.

I just started sewing again recently. I gave away 2 machines and bought 4 the first week I joined my quilting guild... The first one I bought because it was in a beautiful hard wood cabinet... didn't really care about the machine... it's a Golden Touch and Sew Limited edition (had is serviced and works perfect!) Next I bought another Singer machine a bit newer from a gay guy that knew nothing about it and was still crying about putting his 95 year old mother in a nursing home... had it serviced and worked fine... In the mean time my "Quilt Mother" said just get a "Featherweight!" which I did... works great! But only goes straight... Went to my first quilt show and tried out all the machines and fell in love with the Viking and wanted a machine that did sewing and embroidery... found someone that had just upgraded to the Diamond and bought her Designer SE that came with a table, fabric mover and lots of extras... My brother contacted me about sewing machines and seeing how I now had 4 I mailed one the newer Singer to him in Hawaii... Can you believe it my damn sewing machine made it to Hawaii before I do! After parting with the "portable" sewing machine that does other stitches beside "straight" I bought a BabyLock from the guy with whom I had been picking his brains about machine reliability for weeks and his daughter was wanting to upgrade so I took it off his hands to keep in the trunk of my car for class. I also bought a Pfaff serger which is great! and I'm looking for a long arm... think that's it...lol

I have 1 Viking Designer I, an old first purchased Viking 6040, I Featherweight, my Mom's older Kenmore portable and 2-3 more portables I've picked up along the way. I could be drinking or spending time at the Casino's, but prefer sewing quilts and collecting sewing machines. Men have their toys and I have mine!!!

4 not need works, 2 treadles 1 I use all the time and a hand crank that is so cute and sews a beautiful seam and I am going on a retreat tomorrow that we only use hand crank or treadle love that little machine

House and garage are full can't count them all but we have fun amid the frustrations in restroring them
