Roughly how many men's shirts do you think it would take to make a quilt?

A firend's hubby passed and I will be making a quilt for her from his shirts.

We have several designs in mind to choose from. She has about 40 cotton shirts and I was wondering if that was plenty.

    Thanks!

40 shirts will be plenty. With that many you could even make it double sided. Happy sewing.

you'll be surprised at how much fabric you can get from a shirt. I have one in my future too..I hope you share pictures. =)

I just posted this on another topic, but it might be something you could consider- only 7 shirts to make a quilt!

I can't remember how many I used, but here is the quilt I made from his shirts (last year).
