If finished tops that aren't quilted yet count as UFOs, then I have 15 or so. I do plan on getting them done this year (if new ones don't keep getting in the way).

When is it considered a UFO vs a WIP vs fabric in waiting to be cut to start a quilt that you already have a pattern for and know what they will become?

I have one quilt top just finished ready to be sandwiched and quilted

I have three fabric collections waiting to be cut into pieces to make quilts - patterned known.

And two quilts in my head that need to be completed by Christmas 2010 but still need the pattern AND fabric.

I joined the UFO challenge on the stashbuster site in Yahoo groups. This is helping me to finish them up. The list is going through fast, but it is good for me. I hope to finish at least 4 or 5 this year. Since I hand quilt it takes me a while.

Many, many, many. But I am being good. I promised myself I would not get in any swaps this year. So far so good. I love the challenge of a swap but then never do anything with the blocks.

    I just counted.
    Lap/baby size 8
    twin 7
    double 19
    Queen 4
    WIP 9
    Total 47

WIP for me is the blocks are done, but haven't sewn them into a top yet.
The other sizes are all tops, with the backing done and the binding cut.
I have 6 that are sandwiched and ready to quilt, and one needs to get the binding sewn down (tonight)

Besides that, not much goin' on!

LOL, well i counted them a few years ago and i had over 80, i have finished a lot since then and started a few more, so it is probably about the same, but it doesnt' bother me, i had fun either cutting them out, sewing them, picking the fabric and pattern or just thinking about it. Maybe i will get them done someday and maybe i won't. :)

that's how I feel too. My daughters can worry about what to do with all of mom's "stuff"! LOL I just wanna enjoy the process .
The upside is that if I need a quilt for a gift, it doesn't take so long to get one produced.

I counted over 50 the first of the year, that includes tops waiting to be quilted. I joined the UFO challange on this board, and have completed 3 and working on 2 I hope to have completed by the end of Feb. Started and completed other stuff in between.
