Simply too too many to count. So my New Years resolution is to FINISH all my UFOs, before I start another somewhat involved project. I also am going to try (try I said) to finish a small project each week and more if possible. Please wish me luck. I keep seeing patterns I want to try (right now) but but but.

I use to do one at a time, then I'd have one in the planning stage, one in the cutting, one in the sewing and one I was hand quilting. I hunger for those days. Now OMG, I've moved into double digits and I swore I wouldn't do that. But I see things I want to do that will be put together quickly and it jumps ahead of the others. My new years resolution is going to be to not start something new till I have something completed. Do you think I'll stick to that??? But then there's that baby that will be born this spring so I have to do that one and then my GS asked for one with dogs on it. Oops! I'm thinking I need to toss my resolution.

When I start a small project, like a lap quilt, i generally see it right through, however, a year ago I had a major physical problem and was unable to finish anything, so I built up a pile of 21 tops (flimsies) intended to be charity quilts for kids in out of home placement. Yesterday, I handed over the last of them, so I am down to about 20 UFOs, about half in the final piecing stages. I don't have enough room to store things.

Lots of times I try out a block that does not quite work for what I want or I do not like enough to go farther. I have a bin for those. When I want to make a scrappy quilt, I often center individual large blocks of those. I have also made several purses from these abortions. The effects can be quite dramatic.

Do you want just the quilt UFOs or does this also include sewing UFOs? In that case too many to count. I need to start working on them and whittling them down, down, down!
