Is it still a UFO if you never plan to finish it? I have sloppy blocks from my first attempts that I hate to toss but won't ever use. Also blocks started with corduroy...with cheap fabric, etc. Then nice projects I'm just creatively stuck on.
I can beat this one. Before my daughter was born (1971) I started hand embroidering blocks to make her a quilt. In 2009 I finished that quilt and gave it to my daughter's first baby!. I still need to finish the afghan I started crocheting for my son 32 years ago. I'm not about to count my UFOs! :|

I think I have 2 that are old...then there is the one I can't find that I would work on...oh yea there is another one I work on here and there. So maybe 4. I have an excuse I have been making baby quilts for my GC. Just finished the last one last night. Still have to do a bumper for that one.

I've been quilting since July of '08 and I don't have any that I'd call UFO's. I have several WIP's, but none have been left unfinished and not worked on. I may put something aside for a week or so, but I always return to it. Sometimes I put something aside while I think about what to do next with it; for example, how to quilt it, but nothing has gone unfinished yet.

Lots and lots. I want to make sure I am never without something to do. When I worked I was a workalholic and now I'm a craftalholic!

I have 3. When I get tired of working on one, I change to the next one. I try not to do more than 3 but don't always make that limit. LOL!

Same for me! I am shamed to admit I'll need to live two lifetimes to complete my UFOs.....There must be 80 sets of completed blocks; 30 vintage tops; three or four that need to be unsewn; and this does not include the new patterns that have caught my eye! My guess is that I am the Queen of UFOs!

I have several and I'm proud to say that! When I get bored I just move to another one that's already begun. But, I should also add that this year I've finished 2 from about 7 years ago. I usually have a couple that are applique and am working on 1 that is colored and embroidered (black cat creations - Plaid cats). This one is about 8-9 years old. I'm down to block 11 now. For me it's not a race to finish and I like having several at a time going to take with me to work on at lunch etc. I know this would drive several crazy but it works for me and they DO get finished.

I don't call them UFO's they are WIP's (Works in Progress)
Last year at this time I had 112. I now have 98. Considering I have started 2 for evey one I finished I am making progress. Many are smaller-table runner, toppers, wall quilts, baby quilts. I was BOM chair for 3 years and made a lot of sample quilts of the blocks. I travel 250 miles to take care of my mom for 2 weeks at a time every month. She only has a very small table to work on so I finish tops and haven't had time while home to get them all quilted.
I'll be home for awhile since I have to replace my car and heal. Hopefully I'll make some headway in the next 6 weeks.

I'm really scared to count. Although I should. I should make that my New Years resolution. Not to start anything until I get SOME of my UFO's done.
