I do. Had a son move out and moved others around and now the smallest bedroom is my craft room about 3yrs now. Husband bought me a flat screen TV for Christmas for my room the first year I was in there. My SIL calls it my sanctuary.

My DH gets the basement and I got the spare room upstairs, but I use the kitchen table during winter. Also have a downstairs built in dresser and hallway to no place it's about 3x9. So I tucked a glider and footstool in it to hide when I want to quilt in peace!

After our children married, I converted our family room into a quilting studio, where I hold classes and design quilt patterns. My husband custom built a cutting table to my height so I no longer get back aches when cutting. He also built me a large shelving unit where I can keep my stash organized and seen quickly. LOL

I have a space that is called the sewing room but I share the room with the washer, dryer and upright freezer. Still, it has a long counter with a cabinet under each end, 2 large cupboards and I have shelves on one end of the room. It works and I don't feel like I have to clean it up in the middle of projects. Since I do a lot of piecing for our group that makes about one hundred tied quilts for charity each year, I am in there a lot. Oh yes, I do have the ironing board and a tv in there also.

I use a guest bedroom but DH did suggest putting a long arm in the living room. We don't use it much, but not sure I could deal with that.

Unfortunately, I don't have what you would call a sewing room. I have about 1/2 of our spare bedroom. The other half is set with a bed and nightstand for guest.
My sewing machine is set up in the living room and DH sets up the extenstion table when I am needing it.
I do my cutting from our dining room table
We live in a modular/manufactured home, and even though we have 3 bedrooms, one is all ready a computer room
