The one quilt shop I went to was in Bartlett and that where the lady told me "good luck with that" when I told her I was using a treadle to quilt with. But there are 2 or 3 shops there, and a few in Memphis but be careful of the crime, I always tell folks if Tennessee had an armpit Memphis would be it.

I am so glad you started this thread. I have enjoyed reading Oklahoma's and wished we had one but didn't start it. I am glad you did. Thank you.
I was born and raised in Arkansas, moved to El Paso, Wisconsin, Memphis and now Crump, Tennessee. It is on hwy 64 near hwy 22 between Selmer and Savannah. Crump has a very large flea market open on the weekends, is about 15 miles from Shiloh and about 13 miles from the Pickwick Dam. I live within 1 mile of the Tennessee river but I am not in a flood zone. Definitely a tourist town. Friday evenings you hear the traffic pick up and die down Sunday afternoons. /Regards, Dorothy

Technically I live in Georgia, but I'm so close to the state line that I can throw a rock and hit Chattanooga ... almost literally!

There are no quilting shops in Hendersonville. I usually drive to Lebanon. There is one shop on Main street called Lebanon Vac-n-Sew that has a "huge" assortment of fabric, you would love it. I also shop at the Country Quilt Shop in Shop Springs, just outside of Lebanon. This is my favorite shop. I know the owner & she is very helpful on what fabrics go together if I'm not sure. She also has blocks of the month for $3.00 & Buck-a-Blocks. I love it. You should check it out!!!

I'm a "north of the border" neighbor up here in Bowling Green, KY. It's about 20 minutes over to Whittles and I know the way LOL

Seriously - I'd love to be included in any Nashville area plans!

I think there's enough of us just in the southeast area (Chattanooga - Knoxville) to have a quilting bee or just meet somewhere once a month in a central location! Same goes for Nashville area, Memphis area and northeast area! Who agrees with me? :)
