Self taught; no classes here. Did watch my Mom and Grandma Strohl quilt. Have researched, magazines, books and here is such a wonderful help.

I took one or two classes about ten years ago and made a log cabin. Now I research everything on the internet and am self taught. I even learned embroidery on my own.

I came from a background of clothing construction so I knew a lot about making clothes. I started making quilts when I started having grandbabies. I pretty much taught myself to quilt. I joined a quilt guild and took some of their classes and learned tips and techniques to improve my skills. It also helped me expand my horizions in quilting. Also have learned a lot watching the quilting shows on PBS and videos thru the internet.

I started sewing as a child, and went to my first quilt class in the '80s. I have taken classes, read a lot, watched a lot of videos, and have taught more than a few folks. Even so, I still learn new things!

I started learning to sew when I was 6(hand embroidery)& with the sewing machine at 9 or 10. I didn't learn to quilt until I was 30.

Self taught, read a lot, and I found some of quilting tutorials to be very helpful.
