Karen, did you draft this block or was it a pattern from somewhere. If it is a free block would you please let me know how to get it. Thanks.

So happy to see that I'm among so many that agree paper piecing IS another technique of quilting, and I too love the precision, especially when you have really small pieces. Kelly, you do some awesome paper piecing, love seeing pics of everyone's projects!!!!

I LOVE paper piecing...in fact my avatar is a queen sized PP quilt, pattern by Valori Wells of Sisters, OR. I just wouldn't try NY Beauty blocks any other way.
Re: the garden quilt. That is the FIRST paper pieced pattern I ever did! Believe it was in a magazine. My husband made a frame for it with 100 year old barn wood, and it is hanging in our family room.

Paper piecing is awesome and great fun. I've made three quilts so far using PPd blocks and have another three planned.

I love paper piecing, but have been afraid to try it ... someone mentioned an 8-year old granddaughter paper piecing ... surely, I can do it too ... as soon as I figure out, how to get started, I am going to try it too.

I have been wondering if you could combine paper piecing with a quilt as you go technique? Has anyone tried this, or do you know of a book on this idea?

Marcia....I love the precision too!!! I would never be able to make sure perfect points with template piecing....I'm just not that good!

    Hugs!!!

Here is the last one I did.....

I still need to make it into a hexagon and quilt it!
    Kelly,

I love the colors you picked...just beautiful. What pattern is this from? I love paper piecing...still new at it but think I'm ready to tackle something more complicated. I have a pineapple pattern here (MH designs) that I think I'll do next. Thanks for sharing some of your projects!

I love jig saw puzzles...paper piecing is a bit like that to me...fun to see the design come together.
    :-D :-D :-D :-D :D
