:( I've tried pp but I unlike the rest of you, do not do such a good job. It challenges me. I think it is because I hate to waste any fabric it seems I can't do a desent job without wasting too much fabric, I think, anyway. :? Any advice?

I like to put the material that is going to be sewn over the foundation and mark the seam line on the wrong side so I remember where the seam will be and also make sure there will be enough material for future seams. It took me lots of ripping out before the light came on. LOL.

Thank you for the nice kudos on my little quilt. I also hate to waste material and every time I try I have to cut another piece. I needle pierce my patterns and that has helped me so much. I have 20 squares done on the way to a wall hanging. They are all NYB's. I also make PP quilt squares of boats and lighthouses. I send them to another quild member and she makes
charity quilts for children with cancer. I am 72, 73 on the 26th of this month.
I want to give back a bit of good before my time is up. I love the cards. What a wonderful mind you have. Thank you for allowing me to share your time. Hugs,Msaster

Now, I'm not meaning this as any kind of advertisement, but this lady makes some darn awsome paper-pieced blocks. I've followed her stuff for years and often check to see what she's got going for ideas and inspiration. Her blocks are excellent examples of what you can do with small scraps. Enjoy!

It looks great    I think adding flowers would give it that special touch. Be sure to post a pic when you are done

    Annie,

I love it!!! What is the pattern called? That would look really cute at the bottom or as the edge on a quilt with flowers in the center!

    Hugs

I love paper piecing! I stumbled on it about 5 years ago, quite by accident. I purchased a cute pattern having no idea that it was paper piecing. I figured it out and even had a craft day with my daughters because I loved it so much! I am still doing it. Here is a picture of a Kite quilt I made for my grandson. The picture really doesn't do the quilt justice. But maybe you'll get the idea.
