    If I really like it, then I'll make sure to buy enough to back a full size quilt, plus a little extra.

    If I like it I buy 1 yard
    If I love it I buy 3-5 yards
    If I can't live with out it I buy the whole bolt..

    I usually buy 3 yds - sometimes up to 8 yds - depending on the fabric - with muslin I buy the small bolts at JoAnn's everything else is LQS fabric.

    it depends...sometimes i really really like a fabric but look at it and really can not imagine a real project with it...i buy a fq or maybe a 1/2 yard...then i look at a fabric i love and think,...omg...i can use that in so many different projects and i buy as much of it as i can afford at the time. and remember where it came from ... just in case i want more.

    I have never been sorry that I have bought too much of a special fabric - BUT have been very sorry that I did not buy enough.
