    Yes, you are correct. The mattress the quilt is going on is one of the deep mattresses. The bed is a 100+ year old metal head board and foot board that I refinished, so the quilt can be longer and wider than a regular double.

    Alturas. I've lived here my whole life, except for going to school, as has my husband. There is an amazing quilt store about 100 miles from here on the way to Klamath Falls, Oregon, where we do all our major shopping - minus WinCo and Costco trips. We have to go to Medford, OR, Reno, NV, or Redding, CA for those stores and clothing shopping. Each of those towns are 3 hours away.

    Look at this site: quiltersparadiseesc.com and scan down to Pieces to Yardage. Plug in your width and length plus the # of pieces you need and you will get the amount of yardage needed for each piece. Hope this helps.
