As a mom who washed blankets a lot, (DD had a major problem with emesis episodes as a baby) I would have appreciated the quilts being quilted more. They seem to survive better during all those washings. Just my thought.

I like the more example. However, since it is a baby quilt, probably the less would be quite okay. Around here quilt judges at shows go for the more quilting, the better!

The design and color of thread sounds great to me. I'm not familiar with the Dream Orient batting so don't know what they suggest as to how far apart the stitching needs to be but I did notice that one of your fabrics has a similar design in it as your quilting design.............how cool!!!!!

I have always preferred a less quilted look. But, I believe you have answered yourself with saying the more look is growing on you. The only 'rule' is the suggested maximum spacing for the batting.

I think it looks just fine. It will compliment the pattern of the top, and it's not too fussy. Go ahead, I say.

Hi Kitsie, I used to take my kids to Ridgefield to feed the ducks at the wildlife refuge when I lived in Vancouver. You live in a place only slightly less pretty than where I am. Lol!
