How much quilting? question.

As a mom who washed blankets a lot, (DD had a major problem with emesis episodes as a baby) I would have appreciated the quilts being quilted more. They seem to survive better during all those washings. Just my thought.

The design and color of thread sounds great to me. I'm not familiar with the Dream Orient batting so don't know what they suggest as to how far apart the stitching needs to be but I did notice that one of your fabrics has a similar design in it as your quilting design.............how cool!!!!!
