I am also retired. It's just me and the 2 big dogs. My sewing studio is in the basement, and the dogs don't go down there, so if the weather is bad and they are nervous, I don't get much sewing done. But I got smart and put a sewing machine next to my computer so I can sew upstairs with them around me. I figure I sew a couple hours a day, at least.

I'm going to echo a lot of people and say not enough. I go to school full time (studying to teach, so lots and lots of reading and homework), so I'm lucky if I get to pick anything up during the week, but I'm hoping to get a lot of work done on the weekends!

Since quilting is just one of many things I enjoy doing I spend about i-2 hours some days piecing or sewing. I am retired but am active gardening around a big patio, live alone in a tri-level house and take care of that plus like to cook, volunteer archiving a day a week for a history center, write with two groups and take senior classes at a local college off and on. All take time and I love doing them all for I'm a widow after 51 years of marriage and 14 years of caregiving as well. I have a wonderful family with six grown grand kids and five great grandchildren and keep in touch with everyone. They enjoy the quilts I make (I hope)

On a really good day, maybe two and I am also retired. Odd thing is that I think I spent as much time when I did work.
