I agree with the majority of the others who have posted. $4.00 for friends that aren't like your very best friend, and I think $8.00-$12.00 is a reasonable range. Good luck, and keep us posted how you do with your sales. I'm going to goggle the little card purse myself and see if I can find the pattern. It's really neat.

The Sew What Club ladies in Sun City make these and sell them for 5.00. Its a real bargain and they sell hundreds. I have made a few using Velcro and a button over it. My friends love them but I use them as gifts so I never sold one myself. Not less than 5.00.

They are way to cute. I would look at how long it takes to make one. Do hourly rate plus any extra costs. I would think $6-$10 if you know them if not hit them at $10. I am like you end up giving my stuff away. Good Luck!

Great little wallet, I love it and just bought the pattern. I agree that $10 would be a very good price. For a friend $8.

She's right! Unless they take you 15 minutes to make, you are not charging for your time at all. You have at least $5 in materials in the wallets, and your time/skills are worth something! Heck, if you are willing to do skilled work for $1-2/hour, can I hire you for the unskilled work of housecleaning? At your rates, that should be about $0.25/hour! If you don't value yourself and your skills, who will?

I was told by a crafter once, to charge 3 times the cost of your materials. This helps cover your time and expertise.

Your workmanship and materials choices both look exquisite! I'm in the $8 - $12 or even $15 camp, depending on the size of the item--it looks more coin purse size, based on the key ring-- which would limit its uses. For the bargain hunters, $10 each or 3 for $25, or $12 each 3/$30.

The button, while a cute accent, is less "user friendly" than a magnetic snap (my own preference), or even velcro, for frequent opening and closing.

Have you considered scaling up the pattern to offer a second size? For more money, of course!

$10.-$15. If you already have the fabric ten. If you have to make a one time investment in materials, fifteen.

    I agree!
I agree $12. I've sold some about that size that was done IN THE HOOP embroidery for that price. I would not go less. If friends want them they'll pay the price.

    :-P

I would easily pay 10 dollars for this at a craft/boutique!
