I aim for the waste basket when I am sewing but mostly if they end up on the floor they stay there until project is finished. Thn I pick them all up and vacumn. It is so nice to have a place just for sewing that I don't mind that my space is small..it works for me. I have a chunk of W & N stapled onto the closet (which is filled with bins of scraps)door and I use that for my design board. Really helps at times. I am happy with my stuffed shelves but know that I really need to tidy them up someday. Ok..don't say I didn't warn you.
Looks to me like you have everything right where you need them to be. Enjoy

Be as messy as you want to be! I am too and I have no problem finding anything in my studio with several projects going at the same time. As long as I'm happy with the finished result.

Mine is a mess but, not from quilting. I have it torn apart and am going to get rid of the horrible purple that my granddaughter had because it was her br before she went back to her mom to live. Then hopefully I'll get the courage to try starting my first, yes first, quilt. The dark Barney purple in there just turns me off at the moment but when I get threw it should be nice and light and peaceful. (I hope)

I'm not an extreme neat freak however, I find I accomplish my quilting if I keep thinks picked up and in one place. I'm short on space so it has to functional. I have diabetes so making sure pins picked up is a must, I can't afford having a pin imbedded in my foot and not feling it until it's grossly infected.

that's me too, but since i share my sewing room with dd & ddil, i think all the mess must be them.....that's my story & i'm sticking to it!!

Yes it is messy, I have one small bedroom for my computer, card making, quilling, doll clothes and dolls, e-bay stuff, my favorite things, sewing, beading, my toys and games for children to play with, ribbon work, and storage. It is a mess, but it is also a very busy room. I often will clean up a section at a time.

I am currently working on my sewing studio. Just put up one whole wall of design wall. I love it. But now there is a tape measure, levels, carpenters glue, pieces of styrofoam and other construction material all over the place, but I did put my quilt on the wall so it is easier to work on. One more day and I will reorganize. HAhahahahaha sounds good at least

I guess im fairly neat. I have a little metal bucket i got at a second hand store for .75 and it sits on a little table under the big table and it holds all my threads and cuttings. I keep certain things in one spot on the "working" table. I live in a very small place and must be neat or it would take over my whole living room and kitchen. Im no fun lol

I am the same. once the project is finished then and only then do I clean up before I start again--more mess until the quilt is finished. It is good to see I am not the only one who does that. In my room (which is 4meters square), there are plastic drawers in an alcove 8 drawers high by 2 rows. built in cupboards on 2 sides. 3 sides have doors which cannot be covered and plastic boxes color coded with fabric packed high under the table and desk and colored boxes color coded in the shelves to the left of where I sit now. My sewing machine is set up in front of one of the cupboards and I only nmove it if I need to get into the cupboard. I can still walk around but not by much. I also have 2 large paint buckets, 1 by the table the other beside my desk for rubbish and they are nearly overflowing. So I am in a messy room. I sweep it if visitors come so it looks a little tidy, not often. I still have about 20 meters of fabric I washed but not get got to iron yet.
