Luvspaper yes I think I like the idea of the petal arrangement for orange peel. I did something similar with a baby quilt using templates from Geta a QB member.

Prism 99. Thank you for taking the time to find those links. I'm leaning towards stitch and ditch around the outer edge of the quilt before the border. Then left to right wavy lines across the quilt. Think I will give that a try then see what to do with the border. I think the wavy lines should contrast well with the angular quilt pieces. Am hopin to get started tomorrow, have quilting foot on machine and four bobbins wound.

I think bubbles would look good on this quilt, and if you can't fmq near perfect circles you can call them pebbles.

great modern quilt! I'd probably do each block with a variety of straight lines and wavy ones--maybe one block divided with lines going vertical on one side and horizonal on other side; or starting about 1/4-1/2" from edge of block and then creating a concentric box, etc. One block with wavey lines going one direction, another box with them going the other direction. Check out Angela Walter's website, "Quilting is My Therapy" for some ideas. They tend to be very straightforward and don't really need to be FMQ.

Eventually got round to a photo. I'm really pleased with the look of this quilting although not so pleased with the actual quilting. I spray baste and the back is always great but I get lots of fabric movement on the top. I slackened the pressure on the foot for this one but it didn't seem to make any difference. Thank you once again for all the suggestions.
