    My Grandmother had a postage stamp quilt; half by 3/4 inch. Bonnie Hunter would have been delighted as it was every scrap she'd ever had. My job was to lay on it and look for the two squares that were alike......soon I was asleep. She had accomplished her job.

    Love the picture of cousin camp. There are adults who reminisce over playing under the quilting frame and these grands may do likewise reminiscing about playing in the quilt tent. Great way to "display" your quilts. I especially like the kitty one and the piano key border! All are gorgeous though. Blue is my favorite color.

    I never had a quilt in my life until I made my first quilt. It cost me about $300 and it is a display quilt. All of the many other quilts I've made have been given away. I found a vintage quilt to cuddle under but it's too short to be really comfortable with. My family never used quilts ever, blankets were bought and used. I get tremendous comfort in just looking at my quilts, both home made by me and my many vintage quilts. Someday I will find a quilt to use.

    Jill can that looks like my grandkids place to play! My quilts are for using and loving. When I was small I used to play under the card table at my grandmothers house and it was covered with her quilts. It is simply traditional here. My kids did it and now their kids do when they are here.

    Love the picture of 'cousins camp!' Some of my best childhood memories are of playing with my cousins while at Grandma's house.

    This is a great thread. I've made more than 60 quilts in my lifetime. I've got around 8 in my possession so that means I've given a lot away. Sold maybe three. I make my quilts to keep people warm. I want them to be used. I've tried tomake a pretty pieced quilt a few times and I know I don't cut or sew accurately so I just get frustrated. The softer and warmer the better for me and my recipients. Been fun reading the comments.

    Great use of quilts! We used to make tents with the high backs of our dining room table chairs and blankets off our beds. Kept us busy on rainy days.

    Absolutely agree with you, Jingle. I imagine kids snuggling in them but I also know some of the quilts won't be quite so well loved.
