How to Quilt my Allietare quilt

Terry, I'm glad you came to the board with your FMQ question... I have pondered the same thing (although mine is just on the design wall). I will have to go find the one from the Allietare thread that was straight line quilted.
Gay, I cannot recall if you posted your photo on the Allietare thread and, whether or not I commented on it, but your quilt turned out wonderfully and I love that you deviated from the colors Bonnie suggested...

I split mine in half because I could not bring myself to put the colors together. I did not put on point and the secondary design actually takes over the quilt and looks good. I finished the black/red/grey lap quilt and I just outlined in sections. This worked well for the 4 patches and flying geese blocks but it did leave the center red block unquilted. I have not decided if I will leave it that way...it is small so really can remain unquilted without weakening the quilt but I may go back and just do a criss cross on each red center. It is already bound but will not matter can hide threads in batting. I have not started the gold blocks yet but will also make a lap quilt there.
