I am in agreement with you! As a matter of fact, I have been stocking the 5th wheel for our first weekend of camping on the 29th. It's only a weekend but I'm so excited. It's a camper rally and there won't be time for sewing in just 2 days.

I'm so glad this topic was started. I have been wondering if there were any campers on the Board.

we are changing campgrounds and have extra room in closet removed carharts and winter things and cleaned out old clothes that i dont wear that gave me a lot of extra room

I lived in a 5th wheel for 5 years and stuffed patterns and fabric every where! Under the mstr bed, in the closet, in bins in the belly, just any place I could squeeze something in! Hardest part was taking it all out, sewing for a while, only to stop and put it all away. Sometimes I would set up in the dining area, sometimes in the mstr br. Good luck to you....won't be easy with 3 teenagers aboard. Maybe you should learn how to knit :-D Where will you be in Texas....I am in Georgetown

Me too. I am glad to know there are others that camp and also others that full time.

I have never stayed or lived in a camping trailer. My home isn't much large and I just use dining room table and whatever space I can find. Fast at making everything disappear when I need to. Good luck.

A few years ago I took a class called shoebox quilts. In it you cut out your pattern and put each row in a plastic bag and labeled them and kept them in a shoe box. I can't seem to find the website right now. Maybe someone else on here will know about it.

My husband and I with 2 cats 2 dogs have been full timiing since 2001 when he retired, we love travling, if you have a booth dining set use it for storing your sewing items, if you have a bed that has storage underneath it works great
I have my Janome sewing machine,I keep my fabric down to one tote I pick a pattern out than buy,kits are great to make up and I do like to buy them ,I have a big fishing box that I have all my notions in like cutters, threads,etc also hooks that you use to hang coffee cups from I have rulers hanging from them,it works you just have rethink how you sew from a house to a trailer or RV,,,,

Have you taken any trips at all in your new home yet? I think this would answer alot of your questions..

Since you are going to be pretty tight maybe it will be a good time to get some good pic's along the way and post them for us to see?
