Feline Fanatic could you elaborate more on your answer? How many times to do you have to be "active" to reach the status you are indicating? Does that status then happen automatically, or where do you go to find out about selling and listing your stash? Is this indicated somewhere in the rules for this Board? More info, please.

Craigslist is a great place to sell many things - no boxing, shipping, etc. But, PLEASE, a word of caution. Have the items in your garage or on your porch. Do not let folks into your home to use the restroom or get a drink of water. Most buyers are good folks but the bad guys have figured out how to use it to their advantage. They will check out your stuff, your locks and engage you in conversation that will get more info. Just be smart.

My husband and I have been considering downsizing so that we could move into a Senior living facility. I had planned on contacting the guilds I formerly belonged to and offering their members a chance to fill a bag with fabric from my stash for a set fee. I do a lot of quilting for Linus and so have purchased a lot of fabric over the years. I figured I could get at least 3 or 4 hundred dollars for my present stash and the there are my thread and notions collections etc , etc. I move is currently on hold. I will probably go through with my plan once we do actually give up living in our present house.

If you're close enough to a large city, Craigslist will get you quick, local results. I've often heard of people selling their fabric on Craigslist and expecting to sell it a little at a time, and then someone comes along and buys it all.
Also, the Yahoo group Sew It's for Sale is a popular place to sell sewing-related items online. My wife once bought a buttonholer for Father's Day for me on there.
