I'd like to send a couple of quilt pictures to a friend of mine via e-mail from this web site. How do I do that? Many thanks. Merry Christmas.

If you know how to "cut" & "paste", you can highlight the picture, do a "control & C" & then put the picture in your e-mail with "control & P"

Also, if you right click on the photo, you will get a menu with a choice to "save picture as". Save it to your desktop, or some other folder you can find easily, and attach it to your email.

You could just send them a link to the pages where you have posted them. Just select the http://www.quiltingboard... do a Control C - then go to your email and click on the text area of the email and do a Control P. The address of your post should be copied into your email.

I usually do a right click and do the save picture as file. I have a folder full of beautiful quilts so I can go back and look at them when I want:)

The appropriate way to do it is to send your friend the links to the pages as mentioned above.

that way there is no doubt about the source of the photo or who made whatever is pictured.

if you circulate photos copied from the board, the quilter and/or designer don't get credit for all their work. unique designs could be mistaken for public domain. the list of possibilities - minor to major - goes on.

This is great for sending photos, but I would like to know how I can send some of the funny like Deeter sends in via e-mail or storing on my PC without sending all the responses. Is this not allowed or is there some special way of handling?

most of the jokes posted in here in our chitchat section have been copied from other sources (like emails getting pushed along the internet) and then pasted into the post.

most of the jokes we get by email from our friends are passed around in the same way. copied from a source, pasted into the email.
