    I hand quilt so I would echo around the elephants and 1/4 inch into (or away from the sashing.) that way it will make the elephants pop out to be noticed by small eyes

    As mentioned by others, I'd probably echo around the elephants, then SITD or cross-hatch in the sashing. Your quilt is just beautiful. The fabrics are lovely and it's got a timeless look to it. Great job!!

    As usual it comes down to "what are the quilting recommdations for your batting?" Depending on the block size- stippling around the elephants, SID on the outside of the inner border and then SID around each of the blocks in the outer border. Also I think that I would se white thread for the stippling or maybe a pale yellow. I use invisible thread for SID. Pretty quilt!!!!!
