How to stitch large circles?

i have a yardstick compass that i use to mark very large circles.
you can buy them at art stores and online.
if you want to sew with a circle attachment you can always make your own by using a thumb tack and tape it down on the sewing machine bed how ever far you need to make the circle.

Some good suggestions here, but I think it comes down to being able to sew a nice even line while bunching your fabric under your DSM arm and turning the quilt at the same time. That's hard! Many of the quilts that you see with perfect large circles were quilted on longarms, using special attachments that make circles easy.

Sharon, I have that bar but not the white part of the foot; I think that I can just put the bar through the hole above the presser foot, under the screw, and it will work, however, I will have to turn the bar upside down if I put it on the left side, correct? Would that still work?

Go here, http://www.phillipsfiberart.com/ She has rulers and instructions for setting in circles. I've seen her work in person and the circle rulers work perfect every time.
