Default How to Tie Bow Tucks on Bow Tucks Tote?

A silly question to lighten your day but it's something that plagues me. I've looked at photos of several of your Bow Tucks Totes, regular and mini, and noticed the bow ties are horizontal. Mine are vertical, which does not look as nice and they tend to hide in the tucked part. I must be bow tie challenged, I can't figure this out. How do you tie them and get them to sit horizontally across the tuck?

Everyone's totes look SO nice and the bow ties are what make them unique. Please help.

I will be looking in for answers too. DD is getting married and she wants to tie bows on her invites.

When I tie my shoes the bow will be sideways if I start with [say] the lefthand tie. Try tying with the other side first. Make sense? I don't know how to explain any better...

Instead of tying while looking at the purse straight on, look over the purse to the other side and tie that way. Sort of tying upside down.

I got it to work. First I stood up, looking down on the top. I tied the first knot, left over right. Then I followed the instructions here: http://sewing.about.com/od/bowsandri.../ss/tiebow.htm I tied right loop over left and it worked. For the wedding question, this site has several other bows demonstrated as well.

    Good luck with yours.
