How would you bind this dark quilt top and light quilt back?? I'm scared!

I prefer darker fabrics for bindings, since the edges of a quilt can get dirtier faster, but in this case, your backing fabric is dark enough to be a border. So, I would use any color from the darkness of the backing to the darkest in your quilt top (same general color) as the binding.

I would also go with one of the medium dark to dark blues in the front of the quilt. It won't clash with the backing and will frame it nicely and set off the beautiful quilting you plan. Perhaps you could choose a quilting thread to match the binding to set it off even more.

Stunning quilt! And a dark binding gets my vote, too..I think it'll look just fine with a light backing, after all you have all shades in the quilt, and they're beautiful together!
Please post a pic when it's finished, I could look at it over and over!

Stunning quilt. What is the name of the pattern, please. I know that it is a version of the LC. Is it just the placement of the fabric that makes it look different? I know that whatever fabric you use it will only enhance the whole quilt. Please show us when it's finished. BrendaK
