    I'm getting ready to start one of these for my nephew and have been wondering the same thing. I do like the unfinished zigzag edge at the bottom though and I think I may leave mine that. I hope mine turns out as pretty as yours did.

    It is gorgeous! I would quilt the zigzag lines and then the little squares .... but then I don't like a lot of quilting!
