    I think I would stitch in the ditch around the baubles, but I would extend the curves in the background, like a curved cross-hatching....

    shadowing the bulbs would bring out the curves.

    Very nicely done. I would SID to make the ornaments POP. Be sure to update us with a photo when you have finished. GOOD LUCK !!!

    Thankyou! I must admit that I got pretty bored by the time I'd finished it, but the results are worthwhile. It's just a shame that I don't have an empty wall big enough to hang it on!!

    At a show last year I saw a quilt that had been made with this pattern but using it completely differently - not a Christmas theme, and playing with the colours to produce different effects. Fascinating.
