You took the pink put and added in the yellow. It looks fantabulous, even though, seeing it all, the pink would have worked too.

I'm with those who think one small white border would be good, same width as all the bricks.

Whatever quilting you do, I would err on the side of something rounded, although I've seen many people do SITD on quilts like this and they look great.

    Feel proud! Good luck

    Thanks, all.
The pattern was a PDF called "Color Me Crayons" and was simple to follow.

I'll have to see if I have any of the white left. I doubt I have enough of the colours left over to make a binding as they were all fat quarters.

I think you all are right and a swirly pattern would be best.

I would quilt various sizes of concentric circles.

That's one very attractive quilt top. Would love to have the name of the pattern.

Something curvy and swirly.... Unless you want it to be ultra modern and then you could do all straight lines matching the directions to the blocks so they alternate too

What's the name of the pattern, I think I have a jelly roll calling for this one.
Watson--again you've scored with an awesome quilt! And Toverly's idea on narrow white border will really make the stripes float. For quilting I'd probably do a swirl or double loop circle in the white--you'd be able to move around the quilt easily that way. Then in the colors, why not just a couple of squiqqley lines going down the lenght?

I agree with TreasaA about the rounded quilting. Just got a very geometric quilt back from my log armer. I had chosen a medium sized soft curving scroll like pattern and the contrast is lovely. The curves softens the sharp angles and creates gentle "movement".

Is it to be a gift?
What is the age of the recipient?
Ask a few younger people whether they would like borders on modern quilts whose pictures you show them. (find some here: https://www.google.com/search?safe=a...56.TS2LBuXHWrE

Many modern quilts do not have borders, but many long-time quilters have eyes used to seeing borders; maybe we are not the ones to ask, hmmm?

I agree. At least one border to set it off along with a scrappy binding.
