Thank you mJmachin! I did the back this way because I had a lot of the center fabric so thought I would try to use it up. It's the first time I've done a back this way but I liked how easy and quick it was to do.

I've made three bargellos and I've followed the lines of the design. Let me see if I can find a picture for you.

WOW--thank you justflyingin--your quilts are beautiful!! I started quilting mine today and am following the lines of the design--did the lighter colors today and will finish tomorrow--here's what it looks like so far--I'm so thankful of all the support from the members on this board because I would not have tried this without everyone's encouragement!

    Thank you!

Default How would you quilt this--its finished!!

Thank you to all who provided information to help me with my quilt--it's finished and I mailed it today!! My SIL will get it on Tuesday! I decided to follow the lines of the bargello pattern and quilted every other row. I stopped st the red border because I wanted the bargello quilted section to be separate from the borders. I quilted a single line in the middle of the black border all the way around the quilt. I would not have attempted this without your wonderful support--thank you all!!

I would make a "wave" following the direction of each color.

Thank you all for your wonderful support! Your comments and suggestions gave me the strength I needed to make a decision and finish this quilt. I decided to follow the lines of the bargello for quilting but wanted the bargello pattern to float in the frame so I didn't extend the quilting lines into the borders. I quilted every other row of the bargello pattern and then did one row of straight line quilting in the middle of the darker outer border. Here are the pictures of the finished quilt. I'm very happy with the results and hope my SIL will love it when her package arrives on Wednesday. On to my next project that needs to be finished by tomorrow afternoon--straight bed skirt for one of my best friends who just moved into a new home. 🌲🌲
