Cute, cute fabric and pattern. I'm no expert, but I'm picturing daisies in the quilting.

I see six petaled flowers - three in the print and three in the white. Little spirals in the cornerstones and the wishbone border.

It reminds me of sailboats. How about something with waves in it?

Zozee and IrishRose, we are thinking along the same lines....
I reviewed a Craftsy class I took with Chrisina Cameli (Who is great, BTW), and she shows a flower that will work well in each block, so I will try to do that and a serpentine in the borders...or something.
    Thanks for all the ideas!

    Well, that went badly.
Made a real mess of the baby quilt. I'll bind it and give it to Salvation Army. Maybe someone will want it.
Out of 20 flowers, I got about 4 that were acceptable. I just couldn't seem to hit the spots I wanted to or keep a smooth line at all or consistent sizing. I know it's all about practice. In hindsight, I should have just done more sandwiches. I keep thinking that my LA-ing will be comparable to my FMQ-ing on a domestic and it isn't, by a long shot. I don't think I was ever this bad on a domestic.

    Oh well, onward and upward.

Look in your garden - not all the flowers on a plant are the same size. Finish the quilt - they always look better with the binding done. Then reevaluate it. You may be surprised.
I'm making little flowers in the sashing corners on a quilt on my DM. Variegated thread on black shows that they are not all the same size. Such is life.
