I will be putting on a sleeve and binding on a big (39" x 60") US flag quilt I'm making for my Viet Nam, 3 time purple heart, veteran brother and his wife for their new house. It's turning out beautiful and if my grandson can figure out how to post a picture, I'll be showing it off.

At the lake. Fireworks were last night, fisher people just got in from the morning's expedition. We are not having fish for breakfast. No plans for today, but did bring a top to work on. Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Hubby and I, along with daughter and her man, are going to the horse races today at the casino. A little gambling, a few races (I know nothing about horses!) and lots of fun. If I get any sewing done before we leave it will be trying to finish a tote for another daughter.

We have company in town (not staying with us but nearby) and they will be coming over about noonish for lunch & swimming. It will be well over 100* later so after everyone has had too much heat we will retreat inside for table games and the NASCAR race most likely. I spent my morning washing/drying new fabric that will be a pieced backing so will try to spend some time taking off the selveges and maybe I will even be able to sew a few stitches to start getting it ready. I do have an EPP I'm working on to keep myself occupied if I get a chance also. Gotta get those stitches in when I can right?
