the only reason there were more responses when i posted the question is that i copied it into it's very own, separate thread where all would be sure to see it. so ... in reality ... everybody IS responding to June ... not to me ... and they're responding because it's a really good question.

no single member is any more or less important than the others. that's what makes this the best board on the internet.
Whew!! I'm so glad to read that!! I recently unregistered from a mini horse forum that had such nasty turns--shudder--I left. When I had quilting questions and searched for a forum, I picked this one and am so glad I did!! :D It takes awhile to get to know folks--but I'm trying in the limited time I have to be here. I love it here--all sunshine and rainbows compared to the horse one.

In comparing the administrative role on the two forums (I didn't--don't) have a clue about who runs this one... but in the horse one the creator of the site, on which the forum was a big part, posted pictures and comments right along with everyone. Not as many--but we knew where she stood. She had her own personal website for her minis. We knew her well. I never even thought about finding out who ran this one--but I think it adds to the family feel to know about one's leader. :D

If I had one request--I'd ask for a greater variety of smilies. Ones with hearts, ones that nod, ones that are quilting....

    He is

    Konstantin Goudkov
    www.QuiltedParadise.com

he's quite the mystery man, actually. i don't know if anyone here has ever met him in person. it was a few months before he'd even confirm he was a "he".
