I don't know if this is the one you're looking for but it said Job's Tears and Periwinkle may be other names for it.

The pattern isn't free but you might be able to find one using the other names. Good luck! :-)

Are you looking for actual hummingbirds or a quilting design when you get ready to quilt what you are putting together? One of the quilts displayed here some time ago had a beautiful hummingbird quilt design. (Can't remember the date)

Are you thinking of the one from the MQX show posted here:

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-116142-1.htm

On that one the artist quilted the quilt like a wholecloth then went back and "painted" the hummingbirds with a special colored pencil. Her name was Irena Bluhm and here is a link to her website. She may have a pattern for it there and the tools needed to do the painting. http://www.irenabluhmscreations.com/gallery/

I did two hummingbird quilts. One was stained glass style from a Dover Publication book. They are copyright free and I could send you a photocopy. the other I did was from an old Foundation Piecer magazine. both are lovely, at least IMHO!
