HELP!!!! I have never done any embroidery, but have looked at the Diamond and the dealer is getting a Ruby for me to check out today. It is much cheaper. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the SE also but the limited addition. I love it. I looked at the Diamond but then decided that with what i was going to do, most of the machine would go to waste. Good luck =)

My local dealer had a really great deal on the last of their "old" Diamonds because of the new model that has just come out. Might be worth checking to see if any of your local dealers are offering something similar.

I just had the same issue .. Ruby or Diamond In helping my Mom shop for a new machine. The Ruby was the best value , the Diamond although a amazing machine was not worth the $$ for the upgrades she would rarely use.. if ever. I am going to pick her new Ruby Saturday .... I really hope she asks me over to play.

I would LOVE a Diamond! Realistically, when I get my new machine, it will most likely be a Ruby. It seems to be more practical for the money I can spend. My goal is to get my machine next spring. Our youngest child will graduate from college next May! After having college bills for 9 years and 3 children in at the same time for many of those years, I am looking forward to some disposable income to spend on a new machine, some new furniture, etc.!!!

Welllllll, I have a new baby. I sat and played with the Ruby for about 2 hours yesterday and I think I am going to love it. The bad news---I hvae to be gone all day today and can't play with it. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I can set it up and play. Can't wait.
