I love my Viking Designer 2. I don't do the embrodery unit much justice because I mostly do quilt piecing. I would get another one. Good luck finding your perfect machine.

I love my Viking Designer. Just got it this past fall and its a dream. It has made my sewing easier to manage since this is what I do for a living! It was pricey, but well worth it.

I bought a new Bernina this year and I'm totally in love. I have to be honest though...I did not check out the Pfaff or Vikings very well because there is no dealer close to me. This is my first computerized machine..so I went from the dark ages to WOW, WOW...I'm not really a good one to ask since I'm just in awe of all any of the machines can do.

That's how I feel about my Quest. The woman I bought my new machine from is a Pfaff dealer--but I didn't even try them--the Quest had my attention. I still can't believe I can push a button to rasie and lower my needle and have more than a straight and zigzag stitch.

Have fun choosing--but it sounds like you can't go wrong with either decision.

I saw a demo on the new Phaff that has the largest embroidery hoop available. It centers itself and you can quilt blocks with it. I love it, wish I could afford it. Forgot the name and price since I cant buy it anyway but it was impressive.
