    Default Husqvrana Viking Mega Quilter

Hello to the Board! I just bought a used Mega Quilter and I was thinking some of you have one like mine. The manual says there is a thread guide near the needle (K) in the manual, but mine does not have one. Then there
is one just below at the needle. I do have that one. Also, do you know how to set the machine for free motion
quilting. I can take out the feed dogs and there is a plate to cover. Any suggestions would be so appreciative.
Is there a website to find out how old this machine is? It works great and I love the extra throat space. I am
looking for an extension table 16" X 24" since one was not available with the machine..

You can check with Viking. Plus, not sure where LH in NC is but there is a Viking store in Suffolk Va, called Bella's Fabric. They use to sell the mega quilters, there are two; a 9" and an 18" this is important to know. Did you get the CD that came with it. That helped me alot because I had a hard time figuring out how to use the auto threader. They can also check on the extension table too or you can check on line. Mine also came with the knee lift. They only quit selling these in the past few yrs, I bought mine about 4yrs ago. It works great, needs lots of oiling.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I was led to believe that the machine was only about 3 yrs old, but
that's ok. I really like the machine. I will like it better when I find a table, a knee lift, a cd would be nice, and
find out how to set the machine for free motion. I just used the Mega Quilter to finish a UFO with stitch in the ditch and I like how it came out. I have practiced free motion on my Singer 2010, so when I get the right settings on the Mega Quilter I will be half way there........Thanks again

things are crazy around my house but I'll try to get the chance to see if I can find my manual and check these things out for you. I haven't used it in the past few yrs. I've been doing alot of embroidery and now learning to use Serger. I know that if you are close enough you could call the shop and for probably under 50 the shop would do a one on one demo to show you how to use everything. They are really great and know about the Vikings and Pfaff, they go to the convention every yr and learn so much. They have lots of weekend retreats for emb and quilting. I'll see what I can find out for you. How far are you away from Norfolk

I am 6 hours away from Norfolk, Va.
If you would copy your manual, I would be willing to pay you. It would be so helpful. Thank you

Do you have the 9" mega. It did come with a table, not sure the size. Its the only machine that I have that came with one besides my Viking Serger. I'll look around this week. I know where it should be but with living in a construction zone, that's not always the case.

Thank you. I do have the nine inch. I don't know if it came with a table. The lady that I bought it from did
not have a table. I have been trying to find out how old it is, but can not find a website for the serial no. 5301234814
    Thank you for your help

    Hi Judy
I found the manual, so if you don't find yours I will copy mine and send it to you. It is not very clear
on how to set it up for free motion quilting.

This may seem a silly answer but for all my sewing machines I have downloaded the manuals to my iPad and keep in ebooks saves rooting around and then trying to balance a book. Just a thought can you download a manual to your mega quilter. I have done husqvana viking class h 100 downloaded. ...?

    Try this link, [url]http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/ko/6928_6932.htm

look at bottom and it has a link for key features and features and benefits. You'll see there where it comes with the knee lift and also the table. I'll see what else I can find out. If I get a chance I'll call the store today and see if the one girl there remembers is there is special settings for FMQ. I do know its only a straight stitch machine and the walking foot for it is around 100. I keep in touch.

Did you see how to do the FMQ, just change out the plate, put on your FMQ foot. This also should have came with your machine. I actually went on line and pulled up the manual. I'll see if I can find the CD this weekend and copy it and send it to you. I'm not selling it so my store said it was ok. Let me know if you need anything else.

Here's for the manual:http://www.manualslib.com/download/636967/Husqvarna-Mega-Quilter.html. Make sure you oil the machine as the manual says.
