Great find...never can tell what uses other then cooking plates are good for (cooking, what's that?)

I used a mixing bowl for a template last night. I needed a 7 1/2 inch circle and the bowl was just the right size.

eastermarie, my mother used knives from the kitchen to hold
down the sewing pattern pieces instead of pinning them when cutting fabric.
(the ones you eat with-not sharp ones)

I use plates often, gives a nice edge for using the rotary cut too.
