This is also what I thought, a 4 patch would work. That flower is just too busy and small for the quilt.

If you have some left, put some of the green inner border in the corners.

Your final decision is exactly what the quilt needed! The four-patches make the corners come alive, and they point to the center, sort of like Vanna points to the vowels.
