I am about to wash my first quilt!
#1
I am so scared... I've only made 3 quilts so far and the first 2 were for adults so I didn't feel the need to wash them. This one is for a 4-year-old so I am going to wash it before I give it to him so I know it can survive a washing!
It's warm and white batting, so I am just going to put it in the wash on gentle with a little detergent and a color catcher and then tumble dry low :)
I will report back once the wash is done!

Good luck. I think any quilt will pull at the seams with repeated washings. I have the same view another member did, I wash it like I think the user might. If it were real delicate I might put a care instructions label inside the border-delicate, cold water only, or whatever applies.
I make them to be used and enjoyed. Again, best of luck.
