    My question is, I have lot of 100% cotton broadcloth would you use it to quilt with?

    Grandparents used anything they had, so I don't see why not. I don't know how heavy the fabric is, so you just need to consider the pattern your using & how hard it will be to work with that particular fabric.

    i have used everything for quilts, just came accross about 20 polyester knit blocks i made years ago. My favorite lap quilt is made of poly knit lol

    It makes a nice backing for table runners made from wool or felt!

    I use all kinds of stuff, but I try to avoid anything that will melt easily when ironed. Been there done that,,, it ain't perty! LOL
