    well.....

had a fun afternoon in the studio today, looking for my I Spy fabrics

Several ladies on the list have sent me squares and pieces, thought I would get the ones I have all ready and make the tops for my little girls quilts

    finally found the box, but.....

the squares in the box (around 100) are only 6 inches, and the patterns I have work with 6 and a half inch

even found the few squares that I had stashed for "me", a few precious squares that will eventually make a grown up I Spy

anyways, I dug my "Picture Play Quilts" book out of hiding and will cut down the older squares and start yet another quilt

....looks like the womens shelter may be getting TWO!! quilts instead of one (was using the excess if of the gift squares for one donation quilt)

hope to post pictures of the in-progress blocks tomorrow

but that's how we learn and that's how we come up with fabulous "second" projects, also known as plan B.....  :D

you could still use the 6" blocks, just add a border to make up for the smaller size finished top. as long as they are the same size they will go together the same.
by the way...'nother topic...but your doll quilt will be in Monday's post, so won't be long...:)

You can at sashing or cut the others down. They just need to be the same size.

Or you could adapt your pattern to the squares you have -

a lot of the patterns are fairly easy to change

Your not an idiot when you admit your an idiot even if sometimes we act like idiots because when we act like idiots on purpose it reduces stress so maybe next time we do something idiotic we don't feel like an idiot. OK? ;-)
