I bet it's still beautiful. Years ago I had "accidentally" sewn a section on the opposite side of what I had intended and was ready to rip it out and reposition it. My 4 yr old daughter declared it a "beautiful accident" and we decided to leave it as it was.

If you didn't notice and the LAer didn't notice, then maybe no one else will notice. If anybody has the nerve to point it out to you just claim you did it on purpose. And I like Jo M's "beautiful accident" - don't we all make a lot of those?

This sounds like something I would do. I made the borders for my DGS's quilt and I must be visually challenged because I had to do the top border 3 times before I got all of the squares facing the right way. It goes to the quilter tomorow so any errors will just be my interpretation of the original pattern. The Amish always make an error in their quilts because only God is perfect. My grandmother came from Amish ancestors so I always use that for my excuse.
