The 'Mission' of our local Quilt Guild is teaching. Another member and I hold classes once a month from Jan. to May for ladies in our community. We started with only 7 attendees, the first year and had 17 the second year. I wonder how many we will this coming year. We also teach 4H quilting. I'm in the process of quilting another quilt for one of the ladies and I've seen a huge difference in her piecing. Gives me great satisfaction.

How great that you are encouraging a young person to learn the craft. I have given machines, materials, and rulers to 4 young women so far and they are all quilters.

Oh my, I really relate to that story, I too have found things so difficult with pain problems but ther is so much joy to pass on the knowledge to the younger generation. Good for you for your encouragement. Letty x

What a great thing to do - as quilters we need to encourage anyone who expresses an interest in quilting so the craft will continue. I'm sure the lady is thrilled that her GD was showing an interest in quilting.

By preparing special kits, you have made this new quilter feel very special. Hope she continues on her quilting journey. This is how I got my daughter started.

Well done QuiltingaddictUK, for encouraging both Nain / Grandma and her grandaughter.
