You know I thought I couldn't afford a new machine but when I took mine in and they looked at it and said they would give me $500 and it wasn't working, the reader board had gone out on it and it would be $250 to repair it. Also this was the week between Christmas and New Years so they were having a really good sale. I got another $500 off the machine, so basically I got $100 off a new machine. I got the Pfaff Expressions 4.0. It has all the bells and whistles before you go up to the big embroidery machine which I knew I would never use. I am happy with it and it sews like a dream.

I got the confidence machine 2 years ago. The only problem I have had is that the quilting foot kept getting snagged by the needles, because it was a little off center.I had to keep emailing the company and they sent me a new one because I was under warranty. But after the third one I finally talked to someone at a sewing machine store and they said Singer was having a lot of problems with this foot. I was able to order a different one online, because no stores carry it and after paying $25 for it, this one is working fine. And make sure you use the right size bobbins. But I like it, and I quilt California King size quilts on it.

I have a Singer 7469Q and really like it. Only one little problem is that it takes 15j bobbins so other singer bobbins do not really work well in it. This was the price of machine that I could afford. Talk about being sewing machine poor. I have this machine and 1 other singer that is about 10 yrs old cost abouts $120. I have had no problem with it but decided to get new machine due to feed dogs not drop down.
